Pordelio cycle path
A 7 km cycle and footpath suspended over the Venice Lagoon and winding through canals, salt marshes and fishing valleys, designed for leisurely travel and exploring Cavallino-Treporti at a gentle pace.
The Pordelio cycle path is straightforward and easy to follow. The most distinctive section is the cantilevered cycle and footpath over the water. Here, you cycle (or walk) close to the Pordelio Canal with the lagoon always nearby, providing a constant sense of space and tranquillity.
This safe and smooth route is ideal for those looking for a short, scenic ride with no elevation changes.
As you follow the route, you will be treated to stunning views of the lagoon valleys and the island of Falconera. On clear days, you can also catch glimpses of Venice, Torcello and Burano.
The cycle and footpath connects Cavallino to Ca’Savio via Ca’Ballarin and reaches the junction with Via Treportina, where the bridge to Treporti is located. This route is part of a wider network of cycle paths in the Cavallino-Treporti area and can be tackled on its own or incorporated into a longer ride.
