A cycle route to discover the military history of Cavallino-Treporti, when this strip of land was a strategic point for the defence of Venice. A cycle route that illustrates the fragile balance between water and land, where the lagoon meets the sea and the landscape changes over time. The route passes through the most characteristic places of Cavallino-Treporti: lagoons, cultivated fields, flood defences, pine forests and coastal dunes, showing how nature and human intervention have interacted for centuries.

You can explore the Punta Sabbioni area, a territory that survives thanks to the dunes and pinewoods, natural defences against the winds and the sea, and that over time has been transformed by land reclamation works and human intervention, up to the MOSE, a contemporary symbol of this relationship with water that protects the lagoon from the tides.

A short, flat route to be taken slowly, to admire a constantly changing landscape.
