Venice with children

If you visit Venice with children we suggest:

  • A visit to Doge’s Palace and its armoury, to the Bridge of Sighs and the prisons. A visit of the secret itineraries must be booked in advance. On the website of the Musei Civici Veneziani you can find all the information and details about the tickets’ prices. We have special prices for our guests.
  • Kids Day: the Peggy Guggenheim Collection organizes on Sundays workshops and artistic activities for children from 4 till 10 years old.
  • A ride in a gondola: price from 80 € onwards. A less expensive option is a ride on a gondola used by Venetians as unusual ferry to cross the Gran Canal (2.00 €). Departure from: San Tomà, San Samuele, Punta della Dogana – San Marco.
  • Visit the Natural History Museum: aquarium, interactive games and a dinosaur’s skeleton!

To all our guests, we recommend a trip to Murano, the island known the world over for its Venetian glass, Burano, famous for its characteristic coloured houses and for its lace making, and Torcello, home to a number of impressive buildings that stand as testimony to the island’s origins as an ancient settlement.
