The most eagerly awaited Summer event in Cavallino Treporti is definitely Beach on Fire.
Beach on fire is much more than just a fireworks display; it is a truly unrivalled event that attracts thousands of visitors from all over Italy and Europe.
Beach on fire is an exciting, spellbinding show and worthy of the Guinness Book of Records (not for nothing is it known as the longest fireworks display on earth).
The sky above the 13-km stretch of coastline at Cavallino Treporti is lit-up by thousands of fireworks fired in perfect synchronisation from a dozen locations at a number of strategic points between Punta Sabbioni and the Cavallino Lighthouse.
The result of this incredible synchronisation is nothing short of breathtaking. The sky above Cavallino Treporti is transformed into a huge night-time canvas that prepares to welcome stunning sequences of light and breathtaking special effects.
Beach on Fire is one of the most eagerly awaited and best loved events on the Venetian coast: many tourists arrange their summer holidays to coincide with the show. And after all, what better way to celebrate a break at the seaside?
This year, as usual, Beach on Fire will be held towards the end of August (the date for the 2024 edition has been fixed for Saturday 24 August).
Given the particular natural conformation of the coastline at Cavallino- Treporti the display can be enjoyed, in all its splendour, from anywhere in the lagoon.
The favourite place for many visitors is the beach, but those who wish to see the show from an unusual viewpoint can opt to enjoy the display from the sea, perhaps by hiring a boat. From a boat the fireworks display is particularly exciting and romantic: it is hard to resist that triumph of colours that flows into the sea, creating colourful tones of indescribable beauty.
Camping Ca’ Savio is the ideal place to enjoy the display, with its wide open spaces and its kilometre long beach just for its guests.
Beach on Fire is designed by some of the greatest experts on fireworks. The event is promoted by the Cavallino-Treporti Tourist Park (an important association of local hospitality structures), with the precious collaboration of the Town Council, of Assocamping (association of outdoor tourism companies) and of several companies on the coast.
