A dream in colours
From the observation of natural elements, we will discover a primordial Venice, shaped by terrestrial forces and human ingenuity.
Starting from the majestic St. Mark’s Square, we will explore the crucial history of the city with a naturalist guide, revealing the secrets hidden between the calli, the silent bridges and the isolated campielli.
We will walk on the old roadway, witness of centuries of history, and admire the palaces that tell a glorious past, to discover the importance of stone in the construction of the city. We will then join the Arsenal, where the wood was transformed into powerful ships, dominating the Mediterranean. We will take a regenerative break in the Giardini della Biennale, an oasis of greenery in the heart of the city.
We will continue our journey to the island of San Pietro di Castello, the former Olivolo, to understand the crucial role of lagoon water in the balance of this unique territory.
We will cross the sestiere of Castello, a labyrinth of imposing churches and mysterious calli, where the „miracle” of Venice is revealed in all its complexity. We will explore the challenges facing this floating city, in a constant and changing dialogue with the ecosystem that surrounds it. This itinerary is a dive into the authentic soul of Venice.
